Framing, additions and everything that hangs off them.

Six things we do, and do well. If your project mixes several of them, that's normal — most do.

01 — Framing

New construction framing

Framing sets the tone for the entire build. Every trade that follows — drywall, cabinets, tile, trim — inherits our layout, so we take the time to get it right instead of leaving problems for someone else to shim.

Walls plumb, floors flat, corners square, headers sized correctly, and blocking where it's actually needed.

  • Wall & partition framing
  • Floor systems & joists
  • Roof framing & trusses
  • Stairs & landings
  • Beams, headers & posts
  • Sheathing & house wrap

02 — Additions

More house, same address

Adding on is harder than building new — you're tying fresh structure into a house that has already settled. Rooflines have to line up, floors have to meet, and the whole thing has to look like it was always there.

We handle the structural side start to finish and coordinate with your other trades as the addition dries in.

  • Room & bump-out additions
  • Second-story additions
  • Four-season porches
  • Mudrooms & entries
  • Roofline tie-ins
  • Foundation coordination

03 — Remodels

Kitchens, baths, basements

Most remodels worth doing involve moving something structural. Opening a kitchen to a living room, dropping a beam in for a wider span, or reworking a basement to code — that's framing work with finishes on top.

We're honest about what a wall is doing before we take it out.

  • Bathroom remodels
  • Basement finishing
  • Load-bearing wall removal
  • Whole-floor gut & rebuild
  • Window & door openings

04 — Decks

Decks that don't move

A deck lives or dies on its footings and its ledger detail. We dig to frost depth, flash the ledger properly, and use hardware rated for the lumber it's holding — so you get a deck that's still solid ten winters from now.

  • Cedar & treated lumber
  • Composite decking
  • Multi-level decks
  • Stairs & landings
  • Railings & privacy walls
  • Deck repair & reframe

05 — Siding

Siding, wrap and trim

Siding is a water management system, not just a finish. Most siding failures we see are flashing and wrap problems hiding behind decent-looking boards. We build the drainage details first, then hang the siding.

  • Lap & board-and-batten
  • Engineered wood siding
  • House wrap & flashing
  • Soffit & fascia
  • Window & door trim
  • Rot repair & re-sheathing

06 — Outbuildings

Garages, shops & sheds

Detached buildings are where you find out whether someone can frame. There's no house to hide against — the walls, roof and trim all have to be right on their own, and they have to match the home they sit behind.

  • Detached garages
  • Workshops
  • Storage sheds
  • Lean-tos & overhangs
  • Loft framing
  • Siding & trim to match
